Halftime and Post Game Broadcast Host

Overview
SportsCaster.com’s Game of the Week program gives aspiring student sportscasters the opportunity to gain real broadcast experience while covering high school football in Chicago. Working alongside local radio partners and experienced on-air talent, students participate in live game coverage, build their portfolios, and develop the skills needed for careers in sports media. Each market is supported by a SportsCaster field team responsible for coordinating with the school, radio partner, and student announcers; managing the halftime and postgame shows; capturing social media content; and ensuring all on-site equipment and recordings run smoothly.
What you'll do
- Host the Halftime and post game live show. They should have an understanding of the area and/or HS football. They will interview the student sportscasters before and after the game, posting the interview on SportsCaster socials. Host will research each team and be prepared to talk on the hometown team, player stats, things to look for, etc. The host will report to the team leader to get all documents that are needed for the show. This person should have broadcasting/on-air experience. Having a car is required. Will be required to help set up the tent and equipment and break down every night as well as getting it from school to school. Will be required to video touchdowns using their own phone to post to SportsCaster socials. Make sure video recording in the press box and video recording in the tent is a success.
